My Personal Philosophy Of Childcare:
Children are our future, and it is our responsibility to create an environment that fosters positive emotional, social, cognitive, and physical development. This is best accomplished by providing opportunities for children to explore and discover true fun, meaningful activities and play.
About Our Daycare Program:
One of the most important decisions any parent can make is who will care for their most precious resource, their children. As a mother myself, I understand the trail and tribulations in searching for the perfect fit for your family. So why allow Silly Moose Daycare to play the important role in providing a loving and caring environment for your child? Here are a few points that might help you decide if this is the right centre for your family.
- An open door policy- As a parent with children enrolled in our daycare centre, it is important that you feel comfortable at the centre at all times. That means that you are welcome to join us anytime during the day.
- Art-Your children will have the opportunity to take part in a daily art activity which allow them to express themselves.
- Daily circle time- Your children will have the opportunity to talk about their day and what happened in school, (for example. Studies, daily routine, etc.)
- Weekly snack provided-The staff will provide your children with an afternoon snack, including fruits, vegetables, and milk to promote healthy eating.
- Outdoor Adventures- It allows the children in my centre to join the activity and play outside if the weather is nice.
Daily Schedule:
7:00-8:30 – Children arrive and get ready for school time.
8:30-9:00 – Drop off the children to their school destination.
2:45-3:00 – Pick up the children from their destination school; bring them back to my centre.
3:00-3:15 – Hand wash for snack time
3:15-3:30 – The children in my centre can bring their own snack, and I also provide a snack every Friday of the week.
3:30-4:30 – Circle Time
4:30-5:30 – Indoor and Outdoor playtime (weather permitting)
5:30-6:00 – The centre closes
Hours Of Operation:
Monday-Friday – 7:00am to 6:00pm
The daycare will be closed on the following statutory holidays:
*New Years Day *Good Friday *Easter Monday *Victoria Day *Canada and BC Day *Christmas Eve *Christmas Day * Boxing Day
